McSheffrey: I have no Blues future

11 January 2010 08:22
McSheffrey has been relegated to the fringes of the first-team under Alex McLeish and the former Coventry star admits there is little prospect of him breaking into the side.[LNB]Now, after three-and-half-years at St Andrews, he is likely to move on.[LNB]"I've never really been told what's going on. There's been speculation but it's never come from me," he said.[LNB]"I suppose as far as my future at Birmingham is concerned, I'd say that I don't have one.[LNB]"During the last transfer window, the manager made it clear that he was willing to offload me so in that sense I've felt that I'm not wanted here.[LNB]"There have been times when I've felt that I should been on the pitch in front of certain other players and feel that I should have had more starts than I have done. That shows that I'm not in their plans.[LNB]"The manager sat me down and said, 'we're going to listen to offers for you but we haven't got a problem with each other so while you're here I will use you when I need to'.[LNB]"So at least I haven't been frozen out, I've been on the bench every week and started a couple of games.[LNB]"Everything is fine with me and the manager. He says 'hello' to me in the morning and we've been professional about things.[LNB]"He knows that my attitude has been fine and that I don't cause trouble.[LNB]"I just get on with my job. I get on with the lads and am part of the banter so in that sense I'm very much part of the squad."[LNB][LNB]
