irmingham manager Alex McLeish has admitted he would like to see star midfielder Sebastian Larsson stay at the Midlands club.[LNB] The Swedish international has yet to agree a new deal with Blues, with his contract set to expire at the end of the season, meaning he would be allowed to leave on a Bosman ruling.[LNB]Larsson has been a key part of Birmingham's side since joining from Arsenal in 2006, making over 150 appearances and scoring 15 goals.[LNB]The 25-year-old has started all seven of the club's league matches so far this season, and McLeish is eager to hang on to him.[LNB]"We spoke to Seb's people again a couple of weeks ago and we were then waiting on Peter Pannu coming back from China which he has now done and he was going to take it up from there, so that's the latest," McLeish told the club's official website.[LNB]"Seb becomes a Bosman so we have to think about that and it's now up to the club and Seb's people to try and agree something.[LNB]"But I'm philosophical about these sorts of things and I don't lose sleep over them. [LNB]"I wouldn't like to lose Seb because he's been a valuable player for us and he has had a good season, but there are players the world over that could come in and allow us to keep the quality up and the standard up.[LNB]"But you don't want to lose players that you trust."
