Yeung has now acquired more than 81% of City's shares and on Friday the Premier League gave their approval to the proposed buy-out of the Midlands outfit. The current regime of co-owner David Sullivan and managing director Karren Brady will oversee their last home game when Blues face Bolton on Saturday. But McLeish is now looking forward to meeting up with Hong Kong businessman Yeung and his advisors after the weekend. McLeish said: "It looks pretty certain that we will be looking forward to a new era now. There is a buzz about the place and the fans are anticipating another step forward. "I don't know a lot about things yet but that makes it a bit more exciting and I don't have any fear or anything like that. "This is something I have a great anticipation for and I am waiting for it to happen. "I'm looking forward to working for the new owners and let's hope we can take the club forward. "I don't think there is any problem now with me picking up the phone and speaking to Carson's people and, as soon as we set up a meeting, that will be excellent." McLeish is showing no concerns regarding his own future. He said: "I don't have any trepidation with the new owner taking over. As far as I am aware, my contract protects me. "But I am looking at it positively, having new owners, working together. "They are ambitious, I'm ambitious, let's see if we can take the club to another level. "People ask if we will be the next Manchester City and I'd certainly like to think I'd choose the right players if we do get a big pot of gold." McLeish paid tribute to Sullivan and Brady who have been at the helm at St Andrew's for 16 years. He said: "History will say they have done a great job. They dragged the club from a really precarious position and transformed it. "We are not one of the biggest clubs in terms of money available but we have cut our cloth accordingly. "They have looked after the finances of the club tremendously well. "Life goes on and nothing is forever but it would be nice to give David and Karren a nice send-off with a victory tomorrow. "They gave me my chance in the Premier League and I hope I can fulfil their belief in me."
