McLeish scoops managerial gong
The in-form Blues ended the month with an impressive 14-point haul, extending their unbeaten run in the Premier League to 11 games and equalling a club record set over 100 years ago. He also becomes the first Birmingham manager to claim the accolade since the Premier League's inception in 1993.[LNB]McLeish's side began the month with a 3-2 victory away to Wigan Athletic before beating West Ham. [LNB]Blues secured their fifth consecutive Premier League victory at home to Blackburn Rovers three days later. [LNB]Birmingham then gained a point away to Everton before drawing with leaders Chelsea. They finished the month with an away win at difficult to beat Stoke City.[LNB]The decision was made by the Barclays Awards Panel, which includes representatives from football's governing bodies, the media and fans.
