McLeish rues vital goal

Birmingham boss Alex McLeish was disappointed that his side conceded a goal in first-half injury time as they lost at West Ham. In-form City were undone by Alessandro Diamanti's free-kick, with Carlton Cole adding a second later in the game. "In the first half I though we played well," said McLeish. "I thought we were relatively in control. We started to penetrate a little bit. We just could not quite get the killer touch. "To concede a goal on half time the way we did was very disappointing. They got a spring in their step when the second one went in. But the lads have shown they can bounce back. They have shown that before. "They have done that time and time again and the challenge now is for them to do it again. "We have an FA Cup tie against Derby at the weekend and the carrot is for the player to show they can bounce back but they know they can do that."
