Taylor, who is out of contract in the summer, has been at St Andrews since 2003 and has made in excess of 230 appearances for the club.[LNB]However, he has featured just once in the Premier League this season when on-loan keeper Joe Hart was ineligible to face his parent club Manchester City in November.[LNB]The Northern Ireland international recently expressed his frustration at losing his place to Hart, but confirmed he still wanted to stay at Birmingham.[LNB]And Blues boss McLeish is optimistic that a suitable deal can be agreed to ensure the 38-year-old is part of his squad next year.[LNB]"We haven't sat down to speak yet, but I don't see any reason why not," said McLeish. "Maik is at a cracking level of fitness for a man of his age. [LNB]"He's a dedicated professional and we'll still need three goalkeepers, so I don't see why we can't agree something with Maik Taylor for another year."[LNB][LNB] Birmingham 10/11, Draw 12/5, Wigan 16/5
