McLeish - Blues are raring to go

Alex McLeish is hoping his Birmingham players will use their frustration in a positive way to rake in the points over the festive season. The Blues were hoping to bury the memories of their 1-0 defeat by Wolves against Newcastle last weekend but were thwarted by the weather. That meant it was back to the training pitch for McLeish and his men, who face Everton, Manchester United, Arsenal and Blackpool over the next two weeks. Blues boss McLeish told the Birmingham Mail: "We were left very disappointed because the guys were really itching to get back to playing again, and trying to atone for the disappointment at Molineux. "We have just got to try and get the boys on the training field now and make them as fit as possible for this really intense fixture list coming up. "I know the players. Anything about them in terms of their make up and character should never be in question. If anybody can do it, they can."
