McFadden wants to keep penalties

The Scottish international missed a glorious chance to score in Birmingham's goalless draw on Sunday after failing to convert from the penalty spot.

Manchester City keeper Shay Given kept out McFadden's spot-kick to deny the home side all three points.

McFadden has brushed off the disappointment and wants to be counted on the next time the Blues get their chance from 12 yards.

"It was a poor penalty," McFadden said in the Birmingham Mail. "I don't know why but I changed my mind where I was going to put it. But I will be ready to take the next one."
