Magath: No Blues bid for Kuranyi
Reports emanating from England have suggested the Blues are lining up a January swoop for the Germany international as they look to bolster their attacking options.[LNB]Kuranyi's future at Schalke has been the subject of speculation with his current deal due to expire in the summer, with Birmingham reportedly ready to make the 27-year-old a lucrative offer to lure him to St Andrews.[LNB]However, Magath insists Schalke have had no contact with City regards Kuranyi, with reports in Germany suggesting they are planning to offer the forward a new deal to keep him at the club[LNB]"I have received nothing from Birmingham City (for Kevin Kuranyi)," Magath told Westfalische Allgemeine.[LNB]Meanwhile, Schalke are understood to have rejected an offer from Flamengo to extend the loan deal of Ze Roberto.[LNB]Ze Roberto's loan deal with Flamengo is due to expire next month and the Brazilian club have expressed an interest in keeping him for a further 18 months.[LNB]Schalke have rebuffed their overtures as they are planning to sell the 29-year-old in the January transfer window.[LNB][LNB] Barclays Premier League.
