Latics chief keen to keep N'Zogbia

The French winger has been strongly linked with a January exit from the DW Stadium, with in-form Blues reported to be courting his services.[LNB]The Latics insist they have no plans to part with N'Zogbia, but the 23-year-old has hinted that he could be ready to take on a new challenge.[LNB]Martinez claims he would never stand in the way of a player that wanted to leave, but he believes that is not the case in this situation.[LNB]The Spaniard is confident N'Zogbia can be persuaded to stay in his current surroundings, with Wigan reluctant to part with any of their key men during the winter transfer window.[LNB]"I have no doubt Charlie is going to go to the top of world football, but the timing has to be right for Wigan Athletic," he said after watching the former Newcastle man play a starring role in the Latics' 4-1 FA Cup demolition of Hull City on Saturday.[LNB]"We are not going to stop any player from moving into a different challenge, but the timing has to be right for Wigan Athletic so we can develop and carry on moving towards where we want to be."[LNB][LNB] Aston Villa 11/8, Wigan 2/1, Draw 9/4
