The Sweden international has become an integral part of the Blues' plans since joining the club from Arsenal in 2007.[LNB]His ability from set-pieces, combined with outstanding creative instincts, has made him the heartbeat of Alex McLeish's midfield.[LNB]Understandably, Birmingham are keen to keep the 24-year-old at St Andrew's for as long as possible and are hoping he will put pen to paper on a new deal.[LNB]"We are in negotiations with Birmingham, but I am trying to focus on my football," Larsson told Expressen.[LNB]The influential Swede has played a leading role in Birmingham's recent fine run of form, with the Blues unbeaten in their last nine Premier League outings.[LNB]That run has helped to raise morale around St Andrews and has sparked talk of a possible push for European qualification.[LNB]"We are playing with confidence and it's really fun to play football right now," added Larsson.[LNB]"Our confidence is very high and that makes you grow as a team. We believe in what we do and work hard for each other."[LNB][LNB] Chelsea 8/15, Draw 11/4, Birmingham 6/1
