Larsson banking on Blues experience

With just eight games of a compelling Championship season remaining, Blues lie three points adrift of leaders Wolves and four points ahead of third-placed Reading who have two games in hand. Every single one of the 24 points remaining will prove crucial and Larsson, who along with several members of Alex McLeish's squad tasted the same pressures two years ago when Blues won promotion, believes the added experience of players like Lee Carsley and Kevin Phillips will prove crucial in the coming weeks. "We have got a lot of experience in there. And I'm telling you, the games are becoming high pressure games now, there's a lot of nervousness, so let's see who can handle it the best - and I fancy us to do it," he told the Birmingham Mail. "It's up to us to show it. I'm not going to say we were happy with the Barnsley result and performance (1-1 draw on Tuesday), but at the same time we played away, things stayed as they were in the league, and Cardiff lost, so let's push on for Saturday." He added: "The main thing now is that we have to get confident away from home because at home I wouldn't want to be another team coming to St Andrew's at the moment. The next step from there is to bring that to the away games."
