Kuranyi snubbed transfer - Magath
The identity of the club has not been revealed but Kuranyi has attracted plenty of interest from clubs in the Premier League, being linked with Sunderland and Birmingham.[LNB]Kuranyi's decision to turn down the move left Magath with mixed feelings, as his club would have welcomed the money since the 27-year-old is out of contract in the summer, but his goals could lead Schalke into Europe next season.[LNB]Magath said: "I had already reached an agreement with a club who wanted to buy him, but Kevin said that he did not want to leave.[LNB]"Selling him was only an issue because of financial reasons.[LNB]"On the sporting side, I am not unhappy that he is staying because we can still do with him."[LNB]The 27-year-old scored eight of Schalke's 26 goals during the first half of the season, leaving in them a position to move to the top of the table with victory over Nurnberg on Sunday.[LNB][LNB]
