Johnson backing Chelsea for title

25 January 2010 09:32
Johnson has always been a big follower of the Blues and his hero is Chelsea and England skipper John Terry.[LNB]The former Cardiff player will try and pull out all the stops to help Birmingham extended their 15 game unbeaten run against Carlo Ancelotti's side on Wednesday.[LNB]But Johnson believes Chelsea are red hot favourites to take the title.[LNB]Johnson said: "It was great to play Chelsea at our place on Boxing Day but as a fan, it will mean a lot to play them at Stamford Bridge.[LNB]"I still get to watch as many games as I can, mainly mid-week when Birmingham are not playing, and John Terry is a player I look up to.[LNB]"I'd be silly not to. He's a great player and I try and take bits from his game and stick them into mine.[LNB]"He was good enough to be at Chelsea from a boy and start out there and play his entire career with them in the Premier League.[LNB]"I've come through the lower leagues and tried to get there as quick as possible. I've got the chance now at 26 and hopefully will be in the Premier League for a good few years yet."[LNB]Manchester United regained top spot in the Premier League via their win over Hull at the weekend.[LNB]But Johnson insisted: "I think Chelsea will win the league as they've been better than most sides this season.[LNB]"Manchester United haven't been quite as good as in previous seasons. Arsenal have come up on the rails in recent weeks but Chelsea have that strength to grind results out.[LNB]"They've done that for most of the season and, if they have a good second half, they should easily win the title."[LNB][LNB] Chelsea 1/4, Draw 5/1, Birmingham 10/1
