Blues will be boosted by the return from injury of central defender Martin Jiranek for the Barclays Premier League clash with Liverpool at Anfield. The Czech Republic international has missed the last three games with a groin injury and abdominal complaint. But he has returned to training and Blues manager Alex McLeish has confirmed he will be part of the squad to travel to Anfield. Jiranek had formed an effective partnership with Roger Johnson after the loss of Scott Dann for the second half of the campaign with a hamstring injury. Strikers Nikola Zigic (groin) and Obafemi Martins (leg) are again ruled out.
