[LNB]"To be honest I surprised myself. It's just one of those instinctive things," Jerome told BBC WM. [LNB]"I knew there were only a couple of minutes to go before half-time and I thought you've got to shoot to score." [LNB]It was Jerome's first goal of the season, and he is in no doubt where it ranks in his career so far. [LNB][LNB] That'll take some beating, I'd be happy if I scored a couple more of those Birmingham striker Cameron Jerome "That'll take some beating, I'd be happy if I scored a couple more of those," the 23-year-old said. [LNB]He was also delighted that strike partner Christian Benitez was on target, notching his first goal since joining the club in the summer. [LNB]"I've always said it's going to take him a little bit of time to settle in to English football.[LNB] [LNB][LNB] "It's evident in the last couple of games he's been unlucky - [and that goal] will do his confidence some good." [LNB]Liverpool drew level in the match after winning a controversial penalty awarded when striker David Ngog went down over a challenge from Lee Carsley, but Jerome says he thought there was no contact. [LNB]"I think everyone's aggrieved with that [decision]. I was on the halfway line and I could see from miles away that he's gone to ground without any contact."
