irmingham boss Chris Hughton has hailed the impact Chris Wood has made at St Andrew's since his loan move from West Brom.[LNB] New Zealander Wood has scored nine times in 12 appearances for Blues - the last of which was the clincher in the 2-0 home victory against Leicester on Sunday.[LNB]"I'm delighted," Hughton told the Birmingham Mail. "You never know when you take somebody on loan how they are going to perform.[LNB]"What he has had is that knack of scoring goals. Even at times when perhaps his form hasn't been so good, he's been capable of producing a goal.[LNB]"If I look at what he has given us overall - his input in games, what he has shown on the training pitch, how he has gelled with the lads and, of course, importantly, his goals - then he's been very, very good value for us."
