irmingham boss Chris Hughton bemoaned the "blatant foul" on David Murphy that was not given in the build-up to Barnsley's opener on Saturday.[LNB] David Perkins appeared to go in two-footed on left-back Murphy to win the ball, which subsequently broke for Jacob Butterfield to rifle home from distance.[LNB]Hughton had no complaints that the visitors took the lead, describing the opening 45 minutes of the 1-1 draw as "probably as poor as we have been in the period of time I've been here", but he did hit out at the challenge in the build-up.[LNB]"It was a wonderful strike for their goal but it was most definitely a foul, a blatant foul, leading up to the shot," Hughton said. "I was very surprised in this day and age, and looking at the other bookings, that he did not pull that one up as a foul.[LNB]"That aside, they deservedly had the lead in the first half on the balance of play."
