Birmingham boss Chris Hughton believes his side's unflagging spirit can help them cope with a demanding schedule after Wade Elliott's goal earned a shock 1-0 win at Wolves in an FA Cup replay.
Elliott's second-half effort settled what was, due to their Europa League commitments, the 36th game Blues have been involved in already this season. They will now visit Sheffield United in the fourth round and will play a minimum of 58 matches during the current campaign.
But Hughton said: "All we are trying to do on our side is to be positive about everything. We have played on average eight more games than most teams in our division but at this moment there is a real good spirit in the team. There is a group who want to play, no-one has come in and told me they are tired. That is where we are at this moment."
He added: "We try to speak positively not to mention the amount of games. It is one after another. But I've got a group of lads who enjoy playing football."
Hughton felt Blues deserved their victory even though it needed a late double save from keeper Colin Doyle to prevent the game going into extra time.
He said: "It was a satisfying result. Wolves made more changes than us but to come here and win was excellent. We had to defend very well at times and our two centre-halves (Curtis Davies and Steven Caldwell) were excellent and we needed them. But I thought we showed enough on the ball to be a real threat at times and in the end we just deserved it.
"We are fortunate that Boaz Myhill has had a good season but when Colin Doyle has come in, he has never let us down. It was an important double save at the end because we didn't want to be going into extra time."
Wolves boss Mick McCarthy was angry at his side's exit despite making 10 changes to his starting line-up.
He said: "I am very disappointed, angry, and the game hinged on us not marking from a corner so I'm disappointed with that. I've loads of complaints, not with them but with us for not being good enough on the night. I've said my piece in the dressing room.
"I know winning games creates that winning mentality and I didn't want to lose. I'm bitterly disappointed, I didn't want to lose. I'm angry about that. I'm livid we've gone out."
