Hong Kong businessman Yeung, who has bought control at St Andrew's from Gold and David Sullivan, will formally unveil his new board of directors at a press conference on Thursday.[LNB]Gold has been at Blues 16 years, 12 as chairman, and developed a strong bond with the club but now hopes to see Yeung take it forward to greater success.[LNB]Gold told BBC Radio Five Live: "I will follow Birmingham City for the rest of my life.[LNB]"I'm really hopeful Carson is going to take the club to the next level and bring great joy to Birmingham City fans.[LNB]"Whenever I have spoken to his aides they have assured me money is going to be made available in the (transfer) window.[LNB]"The fans will hope that is going to be the case and I certainly hope that is the case."[LNB]Yeung first tried to take over at Birmingham two seasons ago but a deal collapsed and the club were subsequently relegated from the Premier League.[LNB]They bounced back at the first attempt by winning promotion last season and Gold believes the club is in good shape as it changes hands.[LNB]Gold is also confident Yeung has the credentials to take the club forward.[LNB]He said: "In negotiations to sell, our main priority was to discover whether the buyer is capable of meeting the financial requirements before getting into deep negotiations.[LNB]"Proof of funds is the first thing the board needs to establish.[LNB]"We established that and that Carson Yeung's business empire was substantial.[LNB]"It's then for the Premier League to go into fine details, going back many years, to check Carson Yeung is a fit and proper person to run a football club and my understanding is that has all been approved."[LNB][LNB]
