Doyle keen on Blues loan departure
The 24-year-old Republic of Ireland goalkeeper has fallen down the pecking order at Blues this season and is now considered as third choice behind on-loan from Manchester City keeper Joe Hart and last years regular first choice Maik Taylor.
Doyle has revealed that a number of teams had enquired about taking him on loan but he had been denied the opportunity to talk with other clubs.
However, with new owners about to takeover at St Andrews, Doyle is hoping that he will be allowed to seek a club that can offer him the chance of some regular first team football even if that means stepping a down a division or two.
"It's been very frustrating," Doyle told the Birmingham Mail.
"I came in at the end of last season, had a couple of games, did well and then the club told me that I could go out on loan. A few clubs were sorted but then they fell through.
"It was disappointing because I had the club saying that they wanted me to go and get a bit more experience but then they wanted money for me, it was ridiculous.
"Now with a new regime coming in, hopefully they will care more about football than money.
''We will have to wait and see if people come in for me again and then hopefully the owners will see that it is beneficial for the club to let me go out and get some games rather than sit here and not even be involved with the first-team.
"It will be better for the club in the long run to let me go and work on my game instead of just worrying about loan fees and promotion bonuses.
"Ideally I want Championship football but I'd go into League One if it was one of the top clubs, I wouldn't want to drop down into League Two.
"I'm still happy at Birmingham, I've got my family here and in that sense it is perfect. But I'm 24 and I want to be playing, I want to go out on loan.
"It's not nice to be sat at home on a Saturday or a Friday night when the lads have travelled to an away game, while your at home stuck watching Sky Sports," he added.
"You've always got a chance when you're on the bench but when you're sat in your lounge there's nothing you can do."
