Clark keen on Lita stay

Birmingham are already exploring the possibility of extending Swansea striker Leroy Lita's stay at St Andrew's, says manager Lee Clark.

The 27-year-old striker registered his third goal for Blues in explosive fashion on Saturday as his 30-yard scorcher secured a 1-0 victory at Leeds. Lita arrived on a three-month loan deal from Swansea in mid-September having fallen down the pecking order at the Liberty Stadium. And although he still has around six weeks remaining in the midlands, Clark is wasting little time in his bid to tie the forward down longer.

"We are working on trying to keep him," said Clark, who revealed he was screaming at Lita to pass before he unleashed his rocket-like winner at Elland Road.

"He is on loan until mid-December so he has to go back for a couple of weeks but his future is something we are pursuing."
