Carr's season may be over

Stephen Carr may not play for Blues again this season.

The 35-year-old Blues right back has undergone a minor operation on a knee injury sustained in the FA Cup 5th round tie against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last month and manager Chris Hughton fears that he may not recover in time for the last 8 games of the season.

"I know there have been a few questions regarding his availability but he had a very small knee operation about three weeks ago," the Blues boss has said.

"He has had a little bit of debris taken out so it's a small operation that has a fairly good recovery time.

"He's making good progress from it, and if we can get him back at any stage this season it will be a real bonus. It could be one that keeps him out for the season but we look at the positives."
