Bowyer: Blues can't be complacent

City are occupying a top-10 spot in the Premier League after a club-record 12-game unbeaten run in top-flight football. But Boywer is aware that Phil Brown's Tigers side were in a similar position last season only to narrowly avoid being relegated.[LNB]The midfielder said: "The season has gone exceptionally well for us so far and I think we have surprised a lot of people with our performances and where we are in the table.[LNB]"But we shouldn't get too far ahead of ourselves. Before the start of the season, we would have taken finishing 17th. Now all of a sudden, because we've had a good spell, people are starting to get greedy and talking about Europe.[LNB]"Once we get to 38-40 points, then maybe we can see what happens. But it is an achievement and a half just to stay in this league as a newly-promoted club.[LNB]"You saw what happened to Hull last season. They were in a similar position to us at this stage but won just one more game. It boils down to complacency. We can't think we are safe until we actually are."[LNB][LNB]
