Bowyer back focused on football

Bowyer is now preparing for life as a permanent Blues employee having put pen-to-paper on a two-year deal from West Ham. And he is eager to get going again in the Premier League after an absorbing few weeks angling in France. "To be honest, I don't really take any notice of the summer dealings, the only move that I knew about was Ronaldo because that's been on the news. "Otherwise it would just be like work all year. That's why we have a break, to get away from it all. The only time I took a call was from my agent and we spoke about it here at Birmingham. "I've now seen what the manager has been doing. Stephen Carr has signed. Centre-halves went so they had to be replaced. Liam Ridgewell is injured, he's out for a while more so we had to strengthen in that position. "I understand we've signed a forward (Christian Benitez). I don't know anything about him. He's meant to be a good player. Hopefully we can all gel and work hard and stay in the Premier League. That's the main thing," Bowyer told the Sunday Mercury.
