Bouazza not on Birmingham's radar

The Fulham wideman, who has been linked with a move to Rangers, arrived at St Andrew's back in January as McLeish looked to change the dynamics of his side. He went on to make nine starts and seven substitute appearances, scoring against Doncaster, as Blues secured second place and an immediate return to the Premier League. But Bouazza's early promise failed to shine throughout his fourth-month stay and, despite having the option to sign the £3million-rated 24-year-old on a permanent basis, McLeish will instead turn his attention elsewhere. The Blues boss told the Birmingham Mail: "We've got to be careful what we do with the resources that we've got and unfortunately Hameur is a little too rich for us." Birmingham remain in talks with Lee Bowyer and Djimi Traore in an attempt to make their loan deals permanent. Right-back Stephen Carr has already signed for the Premier League newcomers.
