The talented forward, who scored 16 goals for the club during the promotion-winning season of 2006/07, failed to shine in the Premier League and has spent most of the current campaign on the sidelines with a long-term knee injury.[LNB]His last appearance in a Blues shirt came against Blackpool back in September and McLeish believes it would benefit all parties if the 26-year-old were to go out on loan to build his fitness and re-discover some form.[LNB]But McLeish told the club's official website: "There has been no progress on him going out at the moment.[LNB]"I have spoken to Gary and we are looking to do something to suit us both and get him some games. At the moment it's difficult to get him in the team here. (Scott) Sinclair has been doing well, we've also got (Sebastian) Larsson to consider and (Hameur) Bouazza has come in.[LNB]"So it might be right for Gary to go and get some match practice under his belt, do well and hopefully come back to us for the run in."[LNB][LNB]
