Blues makes Calderwood approach

irmingham have approached Hibernian for permission to speak to Colin Calderwood, according to reports.[LNB] New St Andrew's boss Chris Hughton is understood to want the Scot as his No 2 in an attempt to recreate the successful working relationship which helped secure Newcastle the 2009/10 Championship title.[LNB]Sky Sports News reported on Monday that Calderwood was considering the move and Birmingham now want to hold talks.[LNB]The 46-year-old left Newcastle to become Hibernian boss in October and was previously in charge at Northampton and Nottingham Forest.[LNB]Calderwood has also been linked with a return to Forest, where he could become an assistant to former England manager Steve McClaren.
