Blues hit by Phillips injury blow

The 35-year-old, who has scored 13 goals this season, was forced off just after the half-hour mark in the Blues' 2-0 Championship home win over Nottingham Forest on Saturday and scans have confirmed the striker has torn his hamstring.[LNB]Manager Alex McLeish told the club's official website: "He tweaked his hamstring and the scan revealed it was a small tear.[LNB]"They said it was a grade one tear, which is two to three weeks out.[LNB]"But Kevin is a quick healer and if he is back sooner than three weeks it will be a plus for us."[LNB]The Blues are already without strikers Garry O'Connor and James McFadden, who are recovering from groin and knee injuries respectively.[LNB][LNB]
