Blues heading back to Austria

Blues boss Alex McLeish took his squad to the same location last year and was highly impressed with the training camp and the local opposition on offer - seeing off Kirchbeg, Victoria Plzen and Nuremberg. The club then enjoyed their best ever start to a season - winning five and drawing one of their opening six games - before going on to secure promotion to the Premier League. Blues will fly to Austria on July 19 before playing three matches against yet-to-be-named opposition on July 20, 23 and 26, returning home on July 27. McLeish told the club's official website: "We're returning to familiar surroundings because it was successful, so why not go back? The likes of Arsenal and other top clubs go back to the same bases every year because of the continuity factor." Meanwhile, the club have revealed next season's away kit will be unveiled on Monday June 29 and will go on sale on Saturday July 11, with launch details yet to be announced for the new home strip.
