Blues dump civil suit with ex-owners

irmingham have dropped their lawsuit with former owners David Gold and David Sullivan over the price paid for the Premier League club.[LNB] Current owner Carson Yeung, through his company Grandtop Holdings, bought the club for a reported £81.5million.[LNB]Yeung initially called in the West Midlands Police economic crime team over alleged "financial irregularities" at the club, although any criminal investigation was ruled out.[LNB]And the club have now decided not to pursue the matter through the civil court after coming to an agreement with the Hammers hierarchy.[LNB]A statement on the Birmingham website read: "Birmingham City Football Club can confirm that a settlement agreement has been reached between themselves and the previous owners for an undisclosed figure.[LNB]"The club shall cease the civil suit it had instituted and all related actions regarding this.[LNB]"As fellow members of the Premier League, both parties agree that this is a good settlement to ensure our continued friendship.[LNB]"The club will make no further comment regarding this matter."[LNB]
