Blues boss issues rallying call

In the words of McLeish, Blues "blew the opportunity" to get the job done against Preston last weekend but he holds firm belief in his players and points to away victories against tough opposition already this season to show the midlands outfit can get the result required. "We spoke to the players on Monday and quickly told them about the disappointment of being a professional sportsman at times and that it was about bouncing back," he told the club's official website. "Now we've taken it to the very last game and I want the players to go and play with freedom in their minds. "We've had some terrific away wins this season at the likes of Cardiff, Swansea and Bristol City and these are tough places to go. The Reading game is in the same kind of category and we would expect a fantastic travelling support and I know they will make as much noise as the home fans. "Quite simply it's about the players playing to their very best level. I don't see any signs of shirkers in that dressing room or people that will crumble so it's definitely game on. It's come to the crunch that victory would take us to the Premier League."
