Blues bonanza! Birmingham boss Alex McLeish targets 'six to seven' new signings in summer shake-up

Alex McLeish is looking to bring in six or seven players when he revamps his Birmingham squad this summer.   [LNB]And the Blues boss admits his side's achievement in guaranteeing their Barclays Premier League survival with two months to spare means they can press ahead with plans to bring in potential targets.  [LNB] McLeish is determined to prove City are not a one-season wonder and wants them to become an established top-flight club.   [LNB] On his way? Wigan's Charles N'Zogbia is one player heavily linked with a move[LNB]He said: 'We should be able to steal a march in terms of getting some new staff in.   [LNB]'We certainly wouldn't be able to do this if we were scrapping away at the bottom of the league and not knowing what division we were going to be in next season.   [LNB]'But we have put some plans in operation and, depending on who goes out of the club, we may need to sign about six to seven players.'[LNB]Loving summer: Alex McLeish (right) is set for a busy season break as he targets several new signings[LNB]McLeish has one or two targets already in mind for the summer but is also trying to draw up a short-list. He said: 'We are trying to be ahead of the game and there are things that are ongoing.
