Heading home: David Carney (right) misses Blackpool's match because of international commitments

Blackpool's David Carney will miss the Barclays Premier League match against second-bottom  Birmingham tomorrow after linking up with Australia ahead of the Asia Cup.

Elliot Grandin is unlikely to be risked as he missed the defeat by Manchester City because of a hamstring strain.

Manager Ian Holloway could be tempted to freshen up his side in an attempt to return to winning ways.

His side have played just six home games this season as opposed to 12 away following the recent big freeze.

Provisional Blackpool squad: Kingson, Eardley, Cathcart, Crainey, Evatt, Vaughan, Adam, Varney, Taylor-Fletcher, Campbell, Phillips, Edwards, Euell, Sylvestre, Keinan, Southern, Ormerod, Halstead, Baptiste.
