The agent of Italy midfielder Mauro Camoranesi claims the player is the subject of an official approach from Birmingham. The 33-year-old Argentina-born player has only one year remaining on his contract at Juventus and recently turned down a move to Spanish Primera Division newcomers Hercules. But his representative Sergio Fortunato insists a move away from the Stadio Delle Alpi is still likely, and that Blues are keen to bring Camoranesi to the Barclays Premier League. "From Hercules, in reality, there was never anything official," he told La Gazzetta Dello Sport. "But when I heard this, I have made it clear that Mauro wants something more than a newly-promoted team, with all due respect. "Birmingham? There was an official contact. A FIFA official gave me a letter from their directors. They have made a proposal and I discussed it yesterday with Juve's leaders."
