Brock-Madsen set for bench duty

New Birmingham striker Nicolai Brock-Madsen could make the bench as he waits for his debut.

The forward joined from Randers last week and is expected to make the squad at St Andrew's subject to international clearance.

Youngsters Viv Solomon-Otabor and Reece Brown will both be in the squad with boss Gary Rowett expected to make changes from the 1-1 draw against Derby on Friday.

Jon Toral, Michael Morrison and Tomasz Kuszczak are some of the players who could be rested.

Gillingham manager Justin Edinburgh could name an unchanged XI for the third game running.

Back-to-back victories over Bradford and Wigan have taken Gills to the top of Sky Bet League One, so Edinburgh may be loathe to change a winning team.

Striker Cody McDonald was an unused substitute in the 2-0 triumph over Wigan and will once again be pushing for his first appearance of the season after overcoming a knee injury.

Captain Doug Loft, who has not featured this season, is set to continue his spell on the sidelines with a calf injury. Fellow midfielders Aaron Morris (hamstring) and Emmanuel Osadebe (calf) both had setbacks in training last week and will almost certainly miss out at St Andrew's.
