Birmingham still missing Robert Tesche for Bristol City clash

Birmingham midfielder Robert Tesche will miss the Sky Bet Championship clash against Bristol City as he continues to battle an ankle injury.

The 29-year-old has not played since September and Blues boss Gary Rowett had expected him to return sooner but will not risk the ex-Nottingham Forest man until he is fully fit.

Jacques Maghoma is a doubt after he stayed with Birmingham during the international break due to a knee problem.

On-loan Bournemouth left-back Rhoys Wiggins is out after suffering a serious knee injury against Aston Villa last month.

Bristol City could welcome back goalkeeper Frank Fielding after he missed the 2-0 home defeat to Brighton before the international break.

Fielding returned to training on Tuesday following groin trouble and will be considered for selection if he is able to kick without any discomfort.

Winger Luke Freeman has yet to recover fully from an ankle injury and is set to miss out again.

Hordur Magnusson, Callum O'Dowda, Adam Matthews and Taylor Moore are all available after international duty and Josh Brownhill returns to the squad following illness.
