Birmingham seal signing of Ecuador striker Benitez despite injury concerns
Birmingham City have skirted around problems with Christian Benitez's knee to sign the Ecuador striker from Mexican side Santos Laguna.
A potential £9.25m move was threatened by Benitez's medical but he is now effectively on a year-long loan that will become a permanent deal in 12 months.
