ShareLee Bowyer has been told by Birmingham manager Alex McLeish that he is to be offered a new one-year contract as he prepares for Sunday's clash with Fulham at St Andrew's.[LNB]But the veteran midfielder, who is being tracked by newly-promoted QPR, intends to weigh up his options this summer before making a decision. Bowyer's current contract with the Carling Cup holders runs out this summer.[LNB]The 34-year-old was left out of the side earlier in the campaign but regained his place for the second half of the season.[LNB] On the table: Birmingham have offered midfielder Lee Bowyer a new one-year contract[LNB]Bowyer said: 'I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I'm going to weigh up the options in the summer.[LNB]'At the moment the manager has said to me the club are going to be offering me another year.[LNB]'Whether that happens or not, I don't know. They were meant to give me another year last summer.[LNB]'I'll be on a free now and I'll see what options I get and go from there. I've not had a bad season so I might have a couple (of years left).'[LNB]Bowyer is happy at St Andrew's but is keen to play on a regular basis.[LNB]He said: 'I like playing football. I don't come to work to sit on the bench. The games I do miss, I don't like.[LNB]'I had a spell here this season when I wasn't playing and I wasn't happy.[LNB]Happy to stay: Bowyer is enjoying his spell with Birmingham[LNB]'But I think for one reason or another since Christmas time, the manager has put me back in and been playing me.[LNB]'I'll have to weigh things up. No-one is guaranteed to play but obviously I want to play as much as I can.[LNB]'I still feel that I give a lot to the team. That is the most important thing, that the team do well and I want to be part of that.[LNB]'There is no reason for me to go. It just depends. I can't sit here and say I'm going to stay here because I don't know what options I'm going to have. But am I happy here? Yes.'[LNB]Bowyer is aware Blues need to be wary of a Fulham backlash after their 5-2 home mauling by Liverpool on Monday.[LNB]He said: 'It is going to be a different Fulham side than the one that played Monday.[LNB]'Liverpool did the same to us a couple of weeks ago at Anfield and we know how much that hurt us.[LNB]'I am sure Fulham will come back with as much determination as we did the next game.[LNB]'But there is no talk of relegation. We know we've got to go out there and perform.[LNB]'We are at home, we've got a good home record. I think we would have been safe already but in the last two games we've gone down to 10 men and it has been hard.[LNB]'We've had decisions which just didn't go our way. Hopefully at the weekend we will get a decision that might help our end of season.'[LNB]Midfielder Craig Gardner and defender Liam Ridgewell are suspended after their red cards against Wolves and Newcastle respectively.[LNB]Striker Nikola Zigic is again ruled out with hip and groin problems and will play no part in the final two games of the season.[LNB]  BIRMINGHAM v Fulham: Blues without suspended Gardner and RidgewellBirmingham defend 'patriotic' Foster's decision to quit England dutyFoster shock: Capello learns of keeper snub via Birmingham's website All the latest Birmingham news, features and opinion [LNB]  Explore more:People: Craig Gardner, Lee Bowyer, Alex McLeish, Liam Ridgewell Places: Birmingham, Newcastle, Liverpool
