ShareAcording to the late, great Brian Clough, it only takes a second to score a goal.[LNB]Sadly for Birmingham City's Cameron Jerome, he has now spent over 100,000 of them trying to prove that point.[LNB]To be precise, it is 1,697 minutes since the former England Under-21 international found the net in the Barclays Premier League.[LNB] Drought: Cameron Jerome hasn't score for over 28 hours of football[LNB]The forward has not savoured the experience of scoring in the top-flight since his second-half header against Stoke City back in November last year.[LNB]It is a goal-drought that makes Fernando Torres' 732 minutes without success earlier this season seem trivial by comparison.[LNB]His work-rate, however, is valued tremendously at St Andrew's. I understand that strikers thrive on scoring goals and their confidence soars.[LNB]'I'm telling him to keep getting himself into goal-scoring positions and that there are goals in him.[LNB]'He will be frustrated but if he keeps getting himself into positions, it will come.' At least he can take heart from the fact that the last time he played at St James's Park - in December 2007 - he managed to find the net.[LNB] Europe here we come!
