Big Eck fed up with bobbly pitch

The recent cold snap has played havoc with the pitch in B9 and teams are now greeted with a browning, patchy surface that makes passing football difficult to manage.[LNB]A scheduled upturn in temperatures should help matters but McLeish knows his side have to take the pitch into consideration when trying to play their natural game - especially in defence.[LNB]"I think we have to because at times we mess about in our own half and we can shoot ourselves in the foot," said the Blues boss.[LNB]"On Saturday we played a bit more of the percentage game when we had to and we showed composure when we had to as well, there's times to do both. The thing about it is we started better against Nottingham Forest than we did in the game last week (against Burnley) in terms of that tactic.[LNB]"I gave them the tactics last week and said 'please take it in this week boys' and, in fairness to them, they did, they learned their lesson."[LNB][LNB]
