11 December 2010 23:17
Malcolm makes his point Craig Malcolm netted a late equaliser as Stranraer edged one point clear at the top of Division Three following a 1-1 draw at home to Berwick. The third-placed visitors made a flying start as they took the lead in the second minute, Alan Brazil converting Kevin Gordon`s cross from six yards for his second goal in three games. Berwick almost doubled their lead 20 minutes later but Paul McMullan's strike was superbly tipped round the post by David Mitchell in the Stranraer goal. Malcolm was denied by Berwick goalkeeper Mark Peat as the home side tried to find an equaliser, which finally came four minutes from time. It was Malcolm who was not to be denied a second time as his low drive beat Pleat to claim his first goal in five games.
