Queens Park 2-2 Berwick: Report

21 February 2012 22:31

Late drama at Queens

Two injury-time goals saw Queens Park share the spoils with Berwick in a thrilling 2-2 draw at Hampden Park.

The hosts took the lead after 21 minutes when Darren Gribben finished from close range after good work by Kevin McDonald.

Gribben nearly doubled their advantage minutes later but could not test goalkeeper Neil Parry with his long-range drive.

But Berwick hit back five minutes later when Ian Watt unleashed a superb volley from outside of the area to level things up.

The visitors appeared to have won it at the start of time added on when David Greenhill popped up inside the area to finish Fraser McLaren's pass.

But substitute Anthony Quinn rescued a point for The Spiders with the last kick off the game immediately afterwards when he stabbed the ball home from six yards.
