Rangers end winless run

Berwick ended their four-game winless streak with a 3-1 victory at Montrose.

The Black and Gold went ahead thanks to in-form striker Darren Lavery, who applied the finish to Fraser McLaren's assist to notch his 10th goal in 15 games.

Paul Watson almost found an equaliser for the hosts but his 25-yard strike was kept out by a good save from Ian McCaldon.

McCaldon could do nothing to prevent Lloyd Young from levelling six minutes before half-time as the former East Fife man got himself on the end of Watson's cross to record his eighth goal of the campaign.

Stuart Garden's side were inches away from going ahead 10 minutes after the interval but Leighton McIntosh's effort cannoned against a post.

It was the away side who would go on to grab all three points as McLaren's close-range finish and Kevin McDonald's stoppage-time strike from Stuart Noble's pass earned Ian Little's men the win.
