Currie brace boosts Berwick A second-half brace from Lee Currie boosted Berwick's Division Three play-off hopes following a 2-1 win at Elgin. Elgin striker Craig Gunn went close in the first minute but Berwick keeper Ian McCaldon reacted well to tip his long-range effort round the post in what turned out to be the best chance of the first half. Currie opened the scoring with a stunning long-range effort in the 53rd minute which flew into the bottom corner of the net. Gunn levelled matters in the 71st minute when he turned home Brian Cameron's cross from inside the six-yard box but Currie netted the winner just seven minutes from time with a composed finish from 12 yards after being set up by Alan Brazil.
