Banned duo missing for Berwick

Berwick Rangers entertain their namesakes from Glasgow without Kevin McDonald and Steve Notman who are both suspended after being dismissed against Queen's Park last Saturday.

Injuries continue to keep Marc Lancaster and Dene Droudge away from the action for the Borderers with youngster Kenny O'Brien added to the squad to bolster their numbers.

Shielfield manager Ian Little is telling his men to be confident.

"We could have won the game down here before that was drawn 1-1," he said. "We also gave Rangers a real fright when we scored two goals at Ibrox in quick succession to come back from three goals down so we can look forward to the game.

"We will attack but we know that we have to defend well or be punished."

Rangers are boosted by the return of three players ahead of their Irn-Bru Third Division trip.

Francisco Sandaza (thigh) and Ross Perry (hamstring) are both back in

contention after injury, while Kal Naismith is free from suspension.

Skipper Lee McCulloch and Kevin Kyle (both ankle) remain on the sidelines ahead of the visit to Shielfield.

Boss Ally McCoist has demanded an improvement this time from the performance they gave in their last visit.

He said: "It was as poorly as we have played. It was anything but a good experience. I was so disappointed in the manner in which we played.

"It will be a tough game. The playing surface at this stage of the season might not be at its best, which will make it a little bit harder to play a passing game.

"So, more so than ever, we will be faced with a cup tie atmosphere and type of game, which is fine, because we will be ready for it.

"The last time we were down there, we did not perform well and we have to do better."
