Currie back in favour

Midfielder Lee Currie returns from suspension for resurgent Berwick's clash with Queen's Park at Shielfield.

Kevin McDonald is available after illness kept him out of Saturday's 4-0 win over Montrose, meaning only long-term injured duo Dene Droudge (knee) and Marc Lancaster (back) are missing.

Manager Ian Little is looking for his men to keep hold of their promotion-challenging place.

He said: "We have gone about our business quietly and effectively and now we face a really tough test of our promotion hopes.

"Queen's Park are a side that I admire as they play football a very good way but I'm looking for our players to impose our game on them and not the other way around."

Queen's Park winger Aidan Connolly could return despite his early substitution in the 3-2 win over Clyde on Saturday due to an ankle injury.

Paul Gallacher is also in line for a comeback after a hamstring problem.

However, Tony Quinn remains sidelined with a hip injury as does Allan Urquhart with a knee problem.

Head coach Gardner Speirs said: "Aidan's ankle has improved and he could well be an option for Berwick.

"It would be good to have him as he can be a matchwinner and that may well be needed in what will be a tight game.

"Our players did well to come back and win at the weekend after a poor first half but we need a 90-minute performance to win this game."
