Trio return for Wee Gers

Berwick boss Ian Little could be handed a triple boost ahead of their clash with Peterhead at Shielfield Park.

Ross Gray, Fraser McLaren and Steve Notman are all in contention to face the Blue Toon but Lee Currie is set to miss out again.

Midfielders Gray and McLaren have both shook off the illness that ruled them out of last weekend's defeat to Montrose while Notman is available again following suspension.

Little said ahead of the game: "Having Ross and Fraser on the wings and Steven in the middle is something that I am looking to do after losing last week. We played okay in parts but we made mistakes at key times.

"Peterhead are a strong side but and the longer we are ahead of them in the table the better our season will be."

Midfielder Ryan McCann could be in line for his Peterhead debut.

The former Queen of the South, Airdrie United and Ayr man, who returned to Scotland earlier this month after a spell in Iceland, served an outstanding suspension in their midweek draw against Elgin.

Manager Jim McInally can also call on Stephen Maguire again but Callum MacDonald, Graeme Sharp and David Ross all remain out through injury.

McInally said: "Our away results have not been the best and we have not won in our past 5 games on the road but we have the chance to put that right at Berwick.

"I watched them recently and they are a good side but I saw a lot of good stuff in our play in midweek. If we can build on that we can win this one."
