No Notman for Rangers

Berwick Rangers are without suspended midfielder Steve Notman for the visit of in-form Montrose as they look to make it three wins in a row for the first time this season.

Winger Fraser McLaren joins the injured pair of Marc Lancaster and Dene Droudge on the sidelines after missing training this week having gone down with illness.

Shielfield manager Ian Little said: "A win would lift us into a play-off place but also make it three consecutive wins which would be great as it shows the level of consistency that we are after.

"Montrose are on a good run themselves but we stood strong defensively to win at East Stirling last week so we can look forward to the game and hopefully a move up the table."

Montrose defender Paul Lunan is the only absentee with an ankle injury as they head across the border hoping to extend their unbeaten run to six games.

The Gable Endies are threatening to put in a challenge for a play-off place for the first time in five seasons.

"We are on a good run and the players are delivering at a level I had always known they could reach," manager Stuart Garden said.

"Berwick will be a really tough game as they will want to grab the win that would take them above us in the table and we don't want that to happen.

"They have not lost at home all season and that is a good reminder to the players that they need to keep hitting the heights."
