Jonny Fairbairn missing for Berwick as Forfar prepare to visit

Berwick Rangers will be without skipper Jonny Fairbairn as he is starting a two-game ban with on-loan Hibernian midfielder Sean Mackie absent due to an ankle injury.

Graeme Beveridge is a doubt with Robert Wilson set to be handed his first start in the league this season.

Manager John Coughlin said: "Forfar will be tough opposition but I am looking forward to the game as they are a side I would like us to benchmark against. They have just come down from the league above and are tipped to go straight back up and it will be good to pit our wits against them and see where we are."

David Cox returns for Forfar after a two-game ban and Andy Munro is expected to shake off a knock and be available to face the Borderers.

The Loons may have secured two wins from two games in League Two and secured passage to the third round of the Irn-Bru Cup, but manager Gary Bollan is looking for improvement.

Bollan said: "We are scoring goals which is great however we have conceded a few as well and it would be good to be stronger in that department.

"Berwick will be a strong and well-organised side who will be high on confidence after beating Annan last weekend, so this will be tough."
